Bay Cities Chapter of the 99s – 2026 Scholarships
The Bay Cities Chapter of the Ninety-Nines is proud to have two scholarships:
- The Jean Tinsley Memorial Student Pilot Scholarship
- The Maria D’Amato Memorial Advanced Rating Scholarship
The purpose of these scholarships is to provide financial assistance for flight training, materials, ground school, and exams for women working on any certificate, rating, or endorsement. Scholarship award amounts of up to $3,000 each will be determined by our scholarship committee based on the needs of selected applicants.
Eligibility:
- Open to female applicants who are at least 16 years of age by April 19, 2026, per their medical/pilot certificate.
- Applicants must hold a current medical certificate.
- Applicants must have at least five hours of flight time with a flight instructor within the last six months.
- Applicants must reside within California, north of the Clovis CZQ VOR 075/255 radials. Foreflight will be used for address verification if needed.
- Student pilot applicants must be eligible for a Private Pilot or Sport Pilot certificate in the United States and mustpossess a fully issued FAA student pilot certificate at the time of application.
- Student pilot applicants do not need to be a member of the 99s.
- Advanced rating applicants must hold a valid FAA Private Pilot certificate or higher at the time of application.
- Advanced rating applicants must be a member of the Southwest Section of the 99s.
